But it was revealed to her in March 2014, while on her deathbed, her “mother” told her that she had actually been adopted, and that her biological parents were massively famous.

It took her a total of 18 months of legal proceedings before she was finally able to obtain her adoption record, including her birth certificate. The birth certificate is believed to be very fantastic which has become the cornerstone of her legal claim, clearly states that she is the daughter of Norma Jeane Mortenson, better known as Marilyn Monroe, and of the assassinated U.S. President, John F. Kennedy. It is believed that Marilyn Monroe and President John Fitzgerald Kennedy are known to have had an affair in 1961 to 1962, and Ms. Morris claims she was born from that extramarital relationship. Some persistent rumors, originating from her gynecologist, Dr. Leon Krohn, have suggested that Marilyn Monroe had become pregnant once again in 1961, and given birth to a baby girl in June 1962. Due to this development, many people hopes that the court procedures launched by Ms. Morris will finally bring an end to more than 50 years of speculations regarding the existence and identity of this mysterious child.

Gladys Baker Morris must now wait for the results of the DNA tests, If her claims turn out to be true, she could the only natural heir to the estate of Marilyn Monroe, which is estimated to be worth more than $100 million and still makes more than $5M each year. And she confirms that she intends to sue the Marilyn Monroe Foundation over rights and royalties, once the DNA test confirms her identity.

Nicole Ticea is currently a 10th grader at York House School in Vancouver, used Isothermic Nucleic Acid Amplification as part of a collaboration program with Simon Fraser University to develop this rapid low cost HIV test. This test allows future test takers to just place a drop of blood on a chip and it will be used to garner near instantaneous result to check if the said test-taker is infected or not.
The test is still being developed but this invention of a 15-Year old with the help of Simon Fraser University could do wonders in battling against HIV/AIDS. Nicole, even at a young age serves as a good role model to everyone to do their best in school and do something that would be beneficial to everyone.


The test is still a long way from widespread use, with its reliability needing to pass far more stringent review, before commercial partners can even be considered. Multiple HIV testing mechanisms exist, but none are considered perfect, leading to the widespread combination of two testing mechanisms to minimize the danger of false results. In this context, Ticea’s work could easily find a niche.
Ticea used techniques that have been successful in identifying other viral infections and applied them to HIV for the first time. Rather than looking for antibodies to HIV, as the majority of existing tests do, Ticea amplifies the virus itself. This removes the window during which people are infected, but still show up as negative on antibody tests because the immune system has yet to gear up its response. For those who felt down when they have found out that they're maximum height is below five foot two at their maximum age, You don't need to wear that frown anymore. A new study from the University of Hawaii finds that shorter men is proven to have longer lives compared to their tallest rivals.

The study have more than 8,000 American men of Japanese ancestry participants who were born between the years 1900 and 1919. The lifestyles and health patterns of these men were carefully followed and studied thoroughly through the years. 1,200 men from the study got to live into their 90s and 100s age range, while approximately 250 of those men are still alive and kicking up to this day.

According to the study, The taller you got, the shorter you lived. The research was able to compare that the taller men got more chances of having cancers and risks for having elevated blood insulin levels. The study also proved that the longevity gene called FOXO3, which leads to smaller body size during early development and a longer lifespan are more prominent in shorter men whose height ranges from five feet two and below.
